At GenFlix, we recognised the need for structured technical assessment to help GenAI films mature into true cinema. Immersion is delicate, and without care it can be lost in moments.
That’s why we introduced the GenFlix Certification Index (GCI), a technical evaluation framework that assesses each film across Visual Fidelity, Performance Depth, World Coherence, and Acoustic Integrity. Not to judge creativity, but to support it.
The analytical ensemble.
Within GenFlix Studio, an Agentic AI system evaluates each film across Visual Fidelity, Performance Depth, World Coherence, and Acoustic Integrity. Assessments are repeatable and benchmarked against all certified GenAI films, allowing the standard to evolve alongside the medium itself.
1. Visual fidelity (the physics check)
We measure temporal stability, lighting consistency, and texture permanence so the frame stays grounded across cuts.
2. Performance depth (the emotion check)
We analyse movement logic and micro‑expressions to reduce uncanny artefacts and improve human believability.
3. World coherence (the logic check)
We track identity and object permanence so spaces, characters, and rules remain consistent from start to finish.
4. Acoustic integrity (the sync check)
We detect drift, artefacts, and sync issues so your sound supports the image rather than breaking immersion.
The GenFlix Badge scoring model
The overall GenFlix Badge is calculated using a 70 / 30 scoring model designed to balance technical integrity with audience response.
70%: GenFlix Certification Index
The majority of the score is driven by the GenFlix Certification Index. This technical assessment is standardised, repeatable, and governed by GenFlix to ensure consistency and trust across the platform. It establishes a clear baseline of quality and cinematic integrity for generative AI films.
30%: Audience Signal
The remaining portion of the score incorporates user feedback and engagement. While audience response can be subjective, it provides essential insight into resonance, relevance, and impact, metrics that matter in cinema but cannot be measured technically alone.
